IN PRAISE OF NATURE

In our new architectural proposal, the five elements of nature flow and interweave throughout the architectural composition. They are transformed into architectural qualities and spatial experiences, rather than standing as symbols.

The proposed residence is organized into three distinct parts. The base of the house accommodates the living spaces, where solid surfaces and transparency define open boundaries between interior and exterior. Living extends into the landscape without interrupting it.

The main body of the building is shaped upon an elevated planted platform. Here, the sleeping quarters unfold as four independent volumes — like small individual dwellings — surrounded by courtyards and islands of greenery. They coexist without merging, creating a world of intimacy and freedom.

The composition culminates in a triple-pitched roof that shelters and embraces the primary bedroom and, by extension, the entire residence.

This primordial form gives meaning to the composition and reawakens the embodied memory of “home.”

Στην νέα μας αρχιτεκτονική πρόταση τα 5 στοιχεία της φύσης ρέουν και υφαίνονται μέσα στην αρχιτεκτονική σύνθεση. Μεταμορφώνονται σε αρχιτεκτονικές ποιότητες, σε χωρικές εμπειρίες, χωρίς να στέκονται ως σύμβολα.

Η νέα προτεινόμενη κατοικία χωρίζεται σε τρία μέρη: Η βάση του σπιτιού φιλοξενεί τους χώρους διημέρευσης. Εκεί, συμπαγείς επιφάνειες και διαφάνειες ορίζουν ανοιχτά όρια ανάμεσα στο μέσα και το έξω. Η κατοίκηση διαχέεται στο τοπίο, χωρίς να το διακόπτει. Το σώμα του κτιρίου διαμορφώνεται πάνω σε μια υπερυψωμένη, φυτεμένη ζώνη. Εκεί αναπτύσσονται οι χώροι ύπνου — τέσσερις αυτόνομοι όγκοι, σαν μικρές κατοικίες, που περιβάλλονται από αυλές και νησίδες πρασίνου.

Συνυπάρχουν χωρίς να συγχωνεύονται, δημιουργώντας έναν κόσμο εσωτερικότητας και ελευθερίας. Η στέψη κορυφώνεται με μια τρίρριχτη στέγη, που προστατεύει και σκεπάζει την κύρια κρεβατοκάμαρα και κατ’ επέκταση ολόκληρη την κατοικία.

Η αρχέγονη αυτή μορφή νοηματοδοτεί τη σύνθεση και επαναφέρει την ενσώματη μνήμη του “σπιτικού”.
